The Times Union recently featured a story on the Uniquely Abled Academy at Hudson Valley Community College. Hudson Valley is one of the first 16 colleges in the country, and the first in New York State, to host this first-of-its-kind program, designed to train, support, and provide job placement services for individuals on the autism spectrum. Current programming prepares students for jobs as CNC operators in advanced manufacturing fields. More information on the program can be found in this news item on the college’s website.
